[Rfnorthwest] Delivery route changes

PALS members -

 

PALS is making some adjustments to our Rockford hub Northwest delivery
route as of January 2, 2008. In order to be as cost-effective as
possible with fuel and staff costs, this route will now be run in its
entirety only on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. A shortened version of
the route will be run on Tuesdays and Thursdays to ensure that heavy
volume libraries continue to have five day per week delivery.  I have
attached to this email a copy of the new schedule.  Libraries whose
delivery days have changed with this new route have also been sent a
separate print letter notifying the director of the change. 

 

We appreciate your understanding of these changes. PALS deliveries now
average 45,000 items per week, and we have to continually make
adjustments to meet your needs while remaining cost-effective.
